Tosca Cake

Serves:
Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 60g buttter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 2 teaspooons baking powder

Topping:

60g butter

1/4 cup sugar

90g almonds, blanched and slivered or chopped

1 tablespoon flour

2 teaspoons milk

Instructions

Beat eggs and sugar till thick and creamy

Melt butter, add milk and then beat into egg mixture

Sift together ,flour and baking powder and stir in to the mixture

Bake in 23cm tin for 25 - 30 mins

 

Toppping:

Melt butter in saucepan, and add rest of ingredients.

stir till hot

 

Spread evenly oer top of cake and return to oven for about 10mins
