Description
A relatively simple dough for great tasting pizza. Makes approximately 2 x 30 cm round bases, depending on thickness
Serves:
Ingredients
2 cups plain flour- 1 x 8g sachet of dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon caster sugar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Combine dry ingredients in a bowl
- Add the yeast to the warm water. It is important to have "warm" water not hot, as the hot water will kill the yeast and wont allow the dough to rise.
- Mix in the yeast and water into the dry ingredients and combine well.
- knead the dough for a few minutes and return to the bowl
- allow the dough to rise and approx. double in size, leaving it for a few hours in a warm place
- roll out the dough into any shape or size that you want
- its now ready for you favourite toppings
