Description
An Indonesian food consisting of small marinate chicken on skewers and grilled or broiled. It's a favorite snack food but is also often served for an appetizer and sometimes as a main dish.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs chicken breasts
- 1 small onion, grated
- 1-2 garlic clove, crushed
- 1/2 cup sweet soy
- salt
- white pepper
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1-2 teaspoon sambal oelek (optional) or chili paste (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into cubes
- Make a marinade from the remaining ingredients.
- Add the meat and leave to marinate for minimum of 30 minutes (the longer the better)
- Skewer the meat onto wooden skewers, soak the wooden for half an hour in water, keep the marinade.
- Roast them under a grill, in a grill pan or on the barbeque until done, about ten minutes or shorter.
- Baste with the remaining marinade during cooking.
