Basic Crepe Recipe

A basic recipe for crepes, you can have them plain or fill them with whatever you like :)

Serves:

Ingredients
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Olive oil spray

(Crepes can also be eaten plain, by adding 4 table spoons of brown sugar and a table spoon of vanilla essence to the mixture)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and the eggs. Gradually add in the skim milk, stirring to combine.

Add the butter and mix until the mixture is smooth.

Heat a frying pan to medium heat and spray with olive oil.

Pour about 1/4 a cup of the crepe mixture into the frying pan, tilting the pan around to allow the mixture to spread evenly over the frying pan.

When the mixture starts to bubble (around 2 minutes) flip the crepe.  Both sides should be golden in colour.

Serve with a scoop of icecream, or fill with diced fresh fruits.
